Job DescriptionSummer Intern Program 2023Make Amazing Happen!Whether you've recently finished your college education and trying to find that 'perfect fit' or about to complete your university degree and want to get a taste of the real world, AECOM has a wide variety of Internship opportunities available. Responsibilities & DutiesThis role will join the Civil & Infrastructure department with the successful applicant having a keen interest in Structural Engineering and a focus on Bridges + Tunnels.Develops designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, and project models as per specific discipline requirement. Works on drawings under the supervision of an experienced Engineer.Assists with the design content by applying both design and technical knowledge to ensure high-quality outputs under project timelines.Under Supervision, performs work following the agreed-upon budget and schedule.When required, collects and analyses information from specific discipline and interdisciplinary project BIM models.Uses computer software as a tool for solving fundamental engineering problems.Coordinates with other discipline Engineers as applicable for the continuity of the design process.Participates in design progress and coordination meetings.Checks and ensures the quality of model production by BIM/CAD teams for accuracy to design instructions.Actively seeks information, opportunities to participate and contribute, and develops efficiencies and effectiveness.Contributes by solving problems and applying experience or theoretical knowledge to atypical assignments.QualificationsMust have a Master's Degree in Structural Engineering from an accredited University and also have studied Structural Engineering Courses during Bachelor's DegreeMust have graduated within the last 12 months or graduating no later than June 2023Successful applicants must have a minimum3.4 GPA or 2:1 (or equivalent) and aboveCandidates must be currently based in the UAEIf you hold a Master's Degree, you must have started it within 12 months of completing the Bachelor's Degree in order to have continuous educationAny software experience including BIM, or any relevant computer programming would be beneficial.Additional InformationThe Intern Program will run from 26 June - 29 Sept 2023 and is your opportunity to land a permanent position with AECOM.
