Join us and let's get started.Job DescriptionSummer Intern Program 2023Make Amazing Happen!Whether you've recently finished your college education and trying to find that "perfect fit" or about to complete your university degree and want to get a taste of the real world, AECOM has a wide variety of Internship opportunities available.Responsibilities & DutiesThe Intern - Highways Engineer should ideally have exposure to Road design software including AutoCAD and Civil3D, and shall have the following skills:Be able to assist the senior engineers in preparing a of scope of works documents and projects design criteria.Be able to understand and apply the QA/QC checking procedures as per company policy to ensure sound and coordinated design both internally and across other disciplines.Has the basic experience and understanding in the design of Roads (plans, profiles, typical sections, cross sections and signage).Demonstrate excellent working knowledge in the preparation of Power Point presentations and progress reports.Possesses sound communication and writing skills along with preparing technical reports.Basic understanding and working knowledge of Roads design software.Understanding of engineering standards, codes of practice and local authority guidelines is a plus.Consultancy road design internship is a plus.QualificationsBachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering with courses taken in Roads/Highways related subjects from an accredited UniversityMust have graduated within the last 12 months or graduating no later than June 2023Successful applicants must have a minimum 3.4 GPA or 2:1 (or equivalent) and aboveCandidates must be currently based in the UAEIf you hold a Master's Degree, you must have started it within 12 months of completing the Bachelor's Degree in order to have continuous educationAdditional InformationThe Intern Program will run from 26 June - 29 Sept 2023 and is your opportunity to land a permanent position with AECOM.
