Join us and let's get started.Job DescriptionSummer Intern Program 2023Make Amazing Happen!Whether you've recently finished your college education and trying to find that "perfect fit" or about to complete your university degree and want to get a taste of the real world, AECOM has a wide variety of Internship opportunities available.Overview - Program, Cost, Consultancy DepartmentAECOM's PCC team provides multi-disciplinary advisory services for project sponsors, consortia developers and lenders that have a vested interest in the successful outcome of developing built asset and infrastructure projects. We help our clients navigate the risks and complexities of transactions across various sectors. We advise clients across the whole investment life cycle from evaluating investment opportunities to detailed due diligence and monitoring during the construction phase of projects.As an Intern - Project Surveyor, you will be involved in all commercial activities during the pre and post contract phases of a construction project. This will cover several different types of packages from fit-outs to new builds, giving you a wide range of knowledge & experience. You will complete a range of tasks within the team, including: Measurement, Volume 1 & 3 Production, Contracts & Procurement, Cost Forecasting, Variation Management, Market Testing, Cost Planning, Payment Administration & Liaising with clients.Responsibilities & DutiesUndertakes responsibilities under the supervision of a more senior Project SurveyorCompletes the measurement of quantities for input into cost plans, cost estimates and bills of quantitiesAssists with the preparation of tender documentationAssists with viability studies and cost estimatesAssists with implementing, maintaining and monitoring cost control procedures throughout the duration of a projectAssists with evaluating variations, additions and omissions, etc, and incorporating these into monthly cost reportsAssists with preparing, pricing and negotiating change orders with clients and contractorsMarket tests rates and analyses tender returns for input into rates databases and estimatesQualificationsBachelor or Master's Degree in Quantity Surveying from an accredited UniversityMust have graduated within the last 12 months or graduating no later than June 2023Successful applicants must have a minimum 3.4 GPA or 2:1 (or equivalent) and aboveIf you hold a Master's Degree, you must have started it within 12 months of completing the Bachelor's Degree in order to have continuous educationAny software experience including MS Office package, AutoCAD, GIS or any relevant computer Autocad, CostX and BIM experience would be an advantageAdditional InformationThe Intern Program will run from 26 June - 29 Sept 2023 and is your opportunity to land a permanent position with AECOM.
