We are looking for Â one of the Leading Company in Oil field services Â based in UAE: Role: Lead Mud Engineer / Drilling Fluid Specialist Job Location: UAE Min Requirement

  • Degree in engineering
  • Minimum 8 years of field experience Â in Mud Engineering/ Drilling Fluids Engineer.
  • Onshore / Offshore Experience
  • Good knowledge of Well Control Â 
  • Advantage if hold leading oilfield services experience.
Job Description  Â 
  • Responsible for testing the Â mud Â at a Â rig Â and for prescribing mud treatments to maintain Â mud weight, properties, and chemistry within recommended limits.
  • The mud engineer works closely with the rig supervisor to disseminate information about mud properties and expected treatments and any changes that might be needed.
  • The mud engineer also works closely with the rig's Â derrickman, who is charged with making scheduled additions to the mud during their work period.
  • Supervising day to day execution of all drilling fluids, testing, completion, and other programs activities related to construction of wells.
  • Contributing to engineering wellbore issues such as wellbore stability, hole cleaning, hole losses, formation damage or environmental concerns by providing technical recommendations (hydraulic calculations, particle bridging, LCM formulations, specialty products etc.
  • Providing engineering supervision for building and maintaining drilling fluids on the rig site, LCM pills, Spotting Fluids pills and other pills.
  • Preparing and maintain fluids at rig site, perform daily fluids analysis, daily reports, recaps, products inventory and costs, products orders etc.
  • Maintaining mud properties, planning logistics for mud materials, daily mud report, daily cost report, end of phase report (technical and financial), end of well report (technical and financial)
  • Maintain Drilling & Completion Fluids in specs to control wellbore stability.
  • Monitor & maintain fluids characteristic to ensure efficient & safe drilling progress.
