Responsibilities

  • Oil field services classification experience
  • 3-7+ years related experience with University/College Engineering/Technical or Logistics experience
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years handling HTSUS classifications in industry
  • Periodic domestic travel required up to 20%
  • The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
  • Valid driver's license.

Qualifications

To work closely with the other Compliance Coordinators and business units to ensure our products are classified correctly pursuant to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and other U.S. import compliance requirements. Has responsibility for coordinating, communicating and documenting compliance activities and programs. Plans, implements, and monitors compliance programs. Receives instruction, guidance and coaching on a regular basis.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (not listed in any particular order)

  • Review, analyze and process import entries.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of binding ruling (import) requests.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding HTS and Schedule B classifications, documentation requirements or other import regulations to ensure timely clearance.
  • Assist with regular and periodic compliance reviews and assessments (internal & external) of corporate import activities.
  • Provide oversight of third party providers, focusing on compliance with established to service and compliance levels. (E.g. freight forwarders, customs brokers, etc.).
  • Maintain import compliance records in accordance with governmental regulations.
  • Work with the Trade Compliance Specialist and Trade Compliance Group to ensure the proper and timely filing of all post entry reconciliations, including voluntary tenders, protests, or Post Entry Amendments.
  • Assist with oversight of 10+2/ISF-associated compliance requirements.
  • Support the Trade Compliance department in implementation of the import compliance elements of the Company's Trade Compliance Program and future import compliance projects (e.g., C-TPAT, ISA, ISF, etc.).
  • Provide HTS classification guidance to non-U.S. members of the Trade Compliance Group to assist with import classification.
  • Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
  • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
  • Understand and comply with all safety and environmental requirements and company policies of Weatherford.
  • Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and company with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
