Key Business Objectives The HR Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. This is a hands-on exempt position that requires daily interaction with various members of the HR team in processing candidates and working with employees. The HR Coordinator will positively promote the USA Compression company culture and standards while providing exceptional customer service both internally and with external applicants.





Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Provide support throughout the employee life cycle (i.e., pre-employment, onboarding, offboarding)


  • Extend approved offers to candidates and begin pre-employment process


  • Track pre-employment process (i.e.drug/alcohol testing, background checks, WorkSTEPS physicals, DOT history check forms, IT access forms, etc.)


  • Assist with updating the weekly candidate pipeline report


  • Conduct weekly new hire orientations and update PowerPoint as needed


  • Process and onboard new hires into UKG – our HCM


  • Assign training licenses and record new hire training completions in UKG


  • Run UKG learning center reports and assign training as needed


  • Monitor the HR email inbox in Outlook (respond or route as needed)


  • Respond to verification of employment requests., inquiries, and unemployment claims in a timely manner


  • Update HCM homepage with monthly safety meetings, newsletters, company policies, referral bonus programs, and quarterly company newsletter


  • Ensure compliance with employment law posters


  • Provide backup support to Receptionists in the Austin and Houston offices as needed


  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service to employees


  • Participate in other Human Resources and Payroll activities as appropriate and coordinate special projects as assigned


  • Any and all other job duties as assigned




Skills/Capabilities and Education:
  • Minimum 1-3 years of HR experience preferred


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred


  • Experience in handling sensitive, confidential information


  • Detail-oriented required


  • Exceptional written, communication, and presentation skills


  • Must work collaboratively in a team environment


  • Demonstrate skills in problem-solving and has the ability to work independently


  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications including Excel


  • Ability to understand written and verbal communication from the company and manager including training, procedures, instructions, etc.


  • Action-oriented and high performer


  • Exhibit a high level of motivation and integrity, earning trust at all levels


  • Foster an open feedback culture


  • Possess qualities such as positivity, dependability, patience, adaptability, and persistence.


  • Full-time exempt level position




Working Conditions:



  • Periodic lifting requirements up to 25 pounds


  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods depending on the task requirements


  • Position will be part of a team that is geographically dispersed


  • Working conditions are a normal office setting and is based out of the Austin Office
