We are one of the most profitable companies in the world, as well as amongst the top five global companies by market capitalization.OverviewAs a recognized Geophysical expert, undertakes specific assignments that can only be handled satisfactorily by one possessing a high level of technical ability, specialized expertise or extensive background.Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent is expected to perform one or more of the following activities, the number and combination depending on the assignment.

  • Conducts in-depth analyses of geophysical data to evaluate the adequacy of field parameters, processing techniques and interpretation methods.
  • Serves as consultant to management on seismic problems that require an unusually high degree of skill and experience for their solution
  • Acts as a technical advisor to assigned professionals and researchers as is necessary to satisfactorily perform work assignments.
  • Prepares reports and oral presentations of the results of studies for review by management.
  • Critically reviews work of other geophysicists upon request and submits his own recommendations.
  • Assists in training the less experienced geophysicists through discussions and work sessions.
  • Attends meetings and conferences that contribute significantly to advancing the individual's expertise.
Minimum RequirementsA. Bachelor 's degree required in Geophysics or related field (e.g., Geology, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or other science and engineering fields). Graduate study or extensive formal training in specialty field is desirable. B. Normally expected to have twelve years of professional experience, at least five years of which should be as a geophysicist. Incumbent must be highly regarded and accepted as an expert within the Company.
