As a business development manager specialized in Automotive logistics for Maersk UAE, you act as the key representative towards the market.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and be accountable for the success of commercial projects in Automotive industry
  • Build internal and external industry network relations and represent Maersk as lead expert in the Automotive industry maintaining and developing direct customer relationships
  • Grow market presence and develop new client portfolio
  • Develop business plan to increase the overall supply chain Share of Wallet in Automotive market
  • Support the overall customer experience to grow our NPS (net promotor score)
  • Deliver client profitability as per budget
  • Ensure successful business onboarding and contract compliance
  • Adapt to Maersk CRM and building strong pipeline
We are looking for
  • Bachelors/Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a similar discipline
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Sales and Account Management in the freight forwarding industry, with a focus on Automotive vertical
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of products Sea/Air/Road and contract logistics
  • Solid experience of Automotive industry required
  • Proximity to Technology aspect and latest supply chain modules and trends
  • Ability to effectively build sales pipeline from historical market relationship
  • Capable of identifying new business opportunities, possess sales hunting skills and drives growth
  • Strong communicator with good stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Maintain a strategic and holistic view, solution mindset, structured approach, great inter-personal skills
