Our client is one of the healthcare industry’s leading Canadian-owned and operated disability management consulting firms providing national services since 1994, D&D Disability Management specializes in the provision of Independent Medical, Occupational and Vocational Assessments. Our customers include insurers, employers, lawyers, and WSIB. (Read the description of the role mentioned below) Covid Vaccination proof (2 dozes): Mandatory Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (Approx.40/hrs weekly) Salary: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 / annually Working Condition: Hybrid role (on-site+ work from home)

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Answer main phone line; deal directly with inquiries or redirect calls as necessary
  • Make reminder calls to claimants on ALL in-person (Auto) assessments 10 business days, 5 business days, and 2 business days before the scheduled assessments; confirm time/date of assessment, as well as complete COVID questionnaire
  • Confirm all Transportation and Interpreting/Chaperone referrals
  • Prepare courier packages with meds; arrange for courier pick up; handle incoming courier packages
  • Handle/distribute incoming mail
  • Request/Follow up on Signed Consent Forms for all in-person assessments
  • Request assessor notes/files on ICBC cases
  • Receive/process faxes, consent forms, LAT forms
  • Confirm Show/No Show for all in-person assessments
  • Submit No Show letters to the insurer; advise Intake/Reports
  • Submit Cancellation letters to the insurer; advise Intake/Report
For Assessments at D&D office:
  • Prepare assessment rooms prior to assessments; clean/sanitize assessment rooms between assessments
  • Greet claimants/assessors/interpreters, etc.
  • Have claimants complete the COVID questionnaire and consent for assessment
  • Have assessors complete the COVID questionnaire
  • Document Show/No Shows
  • Act as Chaperone, where necessary
  • Assist assessors with photocopying, scanning, etc. as necessary
  • Call for transportation pick-up for claimants following assessment
Details of Work :
  • Location of work: Vaughan, ON L4L 8K8
  • Hours of Work: Regular Business Hours Monday - Friday
  • Hybrid role (remote work + in-office )
  • Pay range: Shall be commensurate with experience.

Skills & Requirements:
  • Must be fully vaccinated for covid-19 under the public health guidelines.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Medical Office Administrator
  • Knowledge of short-term disability policy and process, Worker’s Safety and Insurance Board Legislation, and other relevant legislation such as Human Rights Legislation, etc. is an asset
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access)
  • Working knowledge in ICBC-related assessments (Enhanced Road assessments) is an asset
  • Excellent customer service skills with exceptional written and verbal skills in English.
  • Must be able to multi-task with urgent and time-sensitive requests.
  • Eligible candidates must be able to travel for the occasional work at our BC locations in either "Vancouver or New Westminster."
  • Must act with a high degree of professionalism at all levels.
