Rising Insight Counselling and Psychotherapy is a practice in downtown London. We are committed to providing an experience where everyone coming to our practice feels valued, safe and respected. We have a number of clinicians with a variety of psychotherapeutic approaches which shows us to offer counselling to our community on a wide range of cognitive, behavioural, emotional, social and psychological concerns.The RoleAs one of our registered clinicians, you’ll provide evidence-based counselling and psychotherapy for any concerns within your scope of practice. You’ll be an ambassador of the practice, with diversity, inclusion, safety and respect being integral to your interactions with colleagues and clients alike. You will receive clients from the practice directors while also marketing yourself to build your caseload. Your success in this role will positively affect the London community by offering client-centred, evidence-based treatment.BenefitsAs a clinic founded by directors who initially worked independently as private practitioners, this role has been created to have intentional benefits to allow you to seamlessly begin your work as a private practitioner.Flexibility: We work with our staff to make your schedule work for you, offering shifts during days, evenings and weekends. In addition to in-person therapy, we offer virtual therapy, allowing for shifts being booked at home for the convenience of you and the client.Support: Building a caseload for the first time can be daunting, so we take a supportive approach to provide guidance on marketing, connecting with clients, and referrals if someone is outside of your scope of practice. We also have an optional peer supervision group for clinical guidance and support.Clinical Growth: With diverse colleagues and clients accessing our practice, there are opportunities to enhance and practice different clinical skills and address different concerns. Rest assured, you wouldn’t be expected to take on clients outside of your scope of practice, but if you have some training that you want to begin practicing, we can help find clients to facilitate that.Location: Our location is convenient and accessible in downtown London in a beautiful historical building, with free parking for staff.RequirementsRegistration: All of our clinicians must be registered and in good standing with a regulatory college where psychotherapy is permitted. If you have applied to a regulatory college and are waiting for your registration, feel free to apply!Education: A Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.Skills: Strong counselling skills, clinical and ethical judgement, and ability to build rapport are essential.   • Counsel and provide psychotherapy to diverse mental health and social concerns.
  • Document your sessions, as required by your regulatory college.
  • Market yourself as a clinician, and communicate with prospective clients.
  • Enhance your ability as a clinician to meet the needs of your clients and the direction of the practice.
  • Communicate with your supervisors as needed, and with your colleagues to foster connection and growth.
  • Learn with us, grow with us, and meet your clinical goals.
