About our client Founded close to 200 years ago, our client is an award winning Global Top Tier investment bank, and a Derivatives powerhouse, with presence in over 70 countries. Thanks to the current volatility in the market, their APAC Automated Market Making team is experiencing unprecedented profit and are looking to expand. As well as containing some of the best strategists, quant traders in Asia, the APAC Automated Market Making team invests significantly in its proprietary trading platform and its automated trading strategies.   What is the role? Titled "IT Strategist", this is actually a business headcount (not IT) and the team is responsible for providing full-service suite of technology solutions to the trading desk. You will be developing and implementing efficient automated tools to translate quant traders' strategies into orders. You will help design specific features to help traders monitor and analyze the behaviour of strategies in production and ensure adequate monitoring of risks and positions. IT Strategist plays a critical role in ensuring the Automated Market Making technology platform remains best in class in the industry.   How is the remuneration? This is a permanent role based in Hong Kong, with a budget of between HKD 900,000 - 1.7 million/annum + Bonus.   What are the basic requirements?

  • Expertise in C++ and relevant toolkits
  • At least 3 years of experience in developing/supporting trading platforms
  • Ability to quickly resolve issues under pressure
  • Strong technical & problem solving (troubleshooting) skills
  • Excellent communication skills
