We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC Qatar for: Electrical Assistant technician: This position is responsible for assist the maintenance activities of electrical equipment and systems with responsibility for operation of different sub-stations for the FACILITY. Your main duties will be: •        Routine/Preventative maintenance Corrective/Break down maintenance •        Experience in Power utility, Broad plant maintenance experience on HV Substations. •        Broad plant maintenance experience on switchboards up to 6.6kV, motors, un-interruptible power supplies (UPS), thyristor rectifiers, variable speed drives  and general plant electrical utilities are required. •        Experience that includes PLCs, HVAC, instrumentation and the use of computer-based man-machine interfaces is preferred. Switching and operating experience on plant at 415V, 6.6kV, 33kV and 220kV is highly desirable. ProfileCandidates Profile: •        Ideally, you will have an electrical trade certificate or Science discipline or equivalent. •        Shall have at least 3 year experience in oil and gas or petrochemical industry or in a similar system I facility. •        You will have good interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office. •        The candidate selected for this position shall have ability to understand & communicate in English. •        Candidates having Gulf experience will be preferred. •        Candidates shall have good health and sound physique. •        Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds Position localisationLocationRas LaffanCandidate criteriaMinimum level of experience required3 years or moreLanguagesEnglish (C-Professional working proficiency)Our ambitionCombining our differencesSPIE Oil & Gas Services is committed to promote diversity.
