We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC Qatar for: Electrical Assistant technician: This position is responsible for assist the maintenance activities of electrical equipment and systems with responsibility for operation of different sub-stations for the FACILITY. Your main duties will be: • Routine/Preventative maintenance Corrective/Break down maintenance • Experience in Power utility, Broad plant maintenance experience on HV Substations. • Broad plant maintenance experience on switchboards up to 6.6kV, motors, un-interruptible power supplies (UPS), thyristor rectifiers, variable speed drives and general plant electrical utilities are required. • Experience that includes PLCs, HVAC, instrumentation and the use of computer-based man-machine interfaces is preferred. Switching and operating experience on plant at 415V, 6.6kV, 33kV and 220kV is highly desirable.
