Overview / Responsibilities

Amec Foster Wheeler is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer.

 

Responsibilities

  • Complete all the pre-commissioning and commissioning related activities
  • Responsible for effective coordination with vendors and with clients
  • B-ITRs completions and all the prescribed activities to be carried out
  • Ensure the performance run, stability run and trouble-shooting the issues
  • Preparation of the pre-commissioning and commissioning result documents
  • Develop the system and subsystem mark-ups and systemization in coordination with Commissioning Manager
  • Coordination with Commissioning Engineers of various disciplines to get the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities completed
  • Assist with for the close-out of all B-ITRs related to CCMS
  • Ensure that all work is completed according to design and commissioning procedures, on schedule and to the appropriate levels of HSE and Quality
  • Reports directly to the Commissioning Lead on a day-to-day basis
  • Review the scope of construction and identify any possible anomalies during construction
  • Input commissioning expertise into the design process
  • Monitor the HSE performance of all commissioning Contractors in the area (against the Departmental, Project or Contract HSE Plan) and ensure that all work sites under his control are operating in a safe manner
  • Assist the Commissioning lead with plan for station or part of station start-up and shutdown with operations
  • Assist with reviewing marked-up as built drawings (PEFS) of the completed construction before commissioning and handover to operations
  • Highlight any deviations from the original design to the Commissioning Lead

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical with minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience
  • Must have practical hands on field experience during all stages of project life construction, commissioning and start up and be able to communicate with team leaders of a multi-discipline team
  • Be a team player who can provide valuable input during both planning and execution phase
  • Experience working on HRSG, power plant projects is desirable
  • Previous experience working on PDO projects would be an advantage
