DIVISIONAL SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT

The role of DSVP Engineering is instrumental in establishing the direction of our multi-national, multi-cultural and highly disciplined Emirates engineering departments.
You will be devising and executing long term strategy for future growth and development of Emirates engineering, by managing all strategic aspects of the business as well as day-to-day operations.
You will develop and maintain an effective organisation, leading a team with an overall staff strength of over 5000 to achieve or exceed safety, operational, customer satisfaction and financial goals as set for the company.
You will be leading a complex organisation and provide direction to Engineering senior leadership and key stakeholders internally and externally.
As a passionate senior leader you will be accountable for the performance of the business against annual key performance indicators and empowered to make decisions within delegated limits and agreed budget, created in consultation with the COO.
You will lead change management, productivity management and the setup of a lean and cost-effective business model. You will be a key member of the Emirates executive leadership team leading Emirates operations under the direction of the COO.
Plan, develop and execute long-term business objectives. Develop and implement policies and procedures in support of Emirates' vision, mission, strategy, and values.
Establish goals, objectives and priorities consistent with corporate objectives.
Guide and direct diverse management teams.
Establish and achieve financial budgets and goals for the company.
Create and implement annual goals to facilitate strategic enhancement in the areas of employee safety, quality, productivity and efficiency.
Overall responsibility of aircraft maintenance and engineering.
Maintain and develop third party relationships, creating a pipeline of new managed aircraft/businesses with industry bodies and other influential stakeholders (such as OEMs, Suppliers, Vendors, Regulators etc.)
Overall responsibility for cultivation of safe, secure and rewarding environment to enhance attractiveness and promote retention of staff.
Champion and pursue technological advancement and innovative business solutions that will improve efficiencies while lowering costs.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Engineering or recognised aviation qualification
Hold a license applicable to the specific area acceptable to the local authorities or equivalent professional qualifications.
Experience must be in the field aircraft maintenance and must have held positions of authority with a minimum of 10 years conducted in an aircraft maintenance senior management position including detailed knowledge of testing / overhaul / repair and modification of modern aircraft /engine systems/components.
Proven experience in commercial dealings pertaining to an engineering department of a reputed airline.
Experienced in project management of large projects.
