Setup strategic framework for: Event management - Planning and executing events which can take the form of exhibition, sponsorship and/or participation of a delegation; Social Media: creating visibility before, during and after key events and share on social networks in real-time. Engage and inform about the event, delegation role and related key themes; Branding: Innovative branding ideas to create an impact around key events.
Principal Accountabilities Event management
Strategies:Plan, recommend, book and manage a yearly plan of Satellite Telecom events (approx. 60 - 65 events per year).Brief teams and booth developers for each event and finalize booth build up in accordance to Thuraya brand guidelines and procurement processes.Generates relevant report on each event.Compile leads, work on lead analysis and manage related database.Build strong relationship with event organizers.Coordinate with Communications team for speaking opportunities at key events.Coordinate with Communications team for awards nominations.Secure logistics for products, collaterals, giveaways & solutions for each key exhibition.Optimize budgets for exhibitions booth buildup, logistics & other hospitality related mattersManage internal events from branding, logistics and internal/external coordination.Manage the hospitality and catering for key exhibitions.Coordinate hotel booking for delegates.
Social Media Strategies:
Formulate and execute Social Media strategies around key events.Align on messaging with Marketing Communication teams & delegation.Report on the highlights of the events and keep audiences/followers updated on all social networks with the company's news.Lead the generation of user content that are relevant to the company and to the eventEnsure content from events is shared across all social networks in a timely manner.
Develop branding for the all events in relationship with the brand guidelines and the theme of the event.Coordinate the development of collateral material and related printingCoordinate implementation of internal branding. Competencies:

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in events management with at least 3 years of experience in managing international events.Experience in managing Satellite or Telecommunication related events locally and/or globally is desirable but not essential.Good understanding of satellite telecommunication business is desirable but not essential.Must have a good network contact of various exhibition organizers and related suppliers.Excellent communication skills in English. Other languages are an advantage, but not essential.Excellent negotiation skillsCreativity and a high attention to detail.Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.Young and dynamic, sociable, energetic and with a "can-do" attitudeFlexibility in working extended hours; willingness to travel (more than 50%) to different countries as part of the job.Holder of bachelor's degree in Marketing, Media, Public Relations or other related degrees.
