Division : Shipping Business About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Freight Sales Director to lead our shipping business development across the Middle East. This is a strategic role focused on driving freight volume and revenue growth in key regional markets, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and Oman.Lead the development of regional freight sales strategies tailored to the Middle East. Drive cargo solicitation and ensure achievement of volume and revenue targets.Market Intelligence & Business Innovation : Conduct in-depth research on market demand, industry trends, and competitor activity. Identify and engage new partners (e.g., developers, EPCs, shipowners, freight forwarders, port operators) and promote innovative logistics solutions, especially in oil & gas and infrastructure sectors.Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients such as Saudi Aramco, ADNOC, KOC, DP World, and other major logistics and industrial players. Navigate local regulations and localization policies, resolve client issues, and enhance customer loyalty.Customized Freight Solutions : Provide tailored logistics solutions for complex cargo types including breakbulk, energy equipment, offshore wind components, and large-scale infrastructure materials. Support clients with logistics planning, transport design, and on-site engineering coordination.Market Feedback & Service Optimization : Relay customer insights and market trends to internal teams to improve service offerings and enhance competitiveness.Track and analyze regional sales performance. Prepare regular reports on market conditions and business progress.Cross-Cultural Coordination : Collaborate with multinational teams and align headquarters’ strategies with local execution, respecting the relationship-driven and hierarchical business culture of the Middle East.Qualifications Fluent in English with strong business etiquette and familiarity with the Middle Eastern business landscape.Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding, shipping sales, or logistics in the Middle East.Deep understanding of regional freight markets, port operations, logistics networks, and regulatory environments.Proven sales, negotiation, and client engagement skills with the ability to independently drive business development.Bachelor’s degree or higher.Willingness to travel or relocate within the Middle East.
