Position description Job title Commissioning & Start-up Process Lead M/FContract type Fixed-term contract Contractual hours Full-time Contract duration1.5 years Employee Status Operative Job description We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC - Abu Dhabi branch for a: Commissioning & Start-up Process Lead Location: Home Office• Coordinate resolution of technical issues• Retain Completions Technical Lead for all engineering-related issues• Interface with PE & PMT for major commercial & PM decisions• Manage engineering, quality, construction (MC), and procurement interfaces• Monitor design and fabrication progress of process equipment packages• Participate in development of the TCPs• Participate in performance tests for major equipment• Interface with subcontractors' project management to address critical commercial and technical issues such as quality components, specification deviations, and inspection reports• Provide technical support during planning for mechanical completion and commissioning activities in vendor shops, fabrication yards, and at site• Review and approve DCNs & FCRs• Assist in defining testing criteria for FATs to ensure equipment is fully tested to international standards, with complete documentation and recorded punch list items• Lead development of site performance test procedures and criteria• Contribute to generating project systems completion schedules• Participate in systems completion workshops to ensure stakeholder alignment• Develop detailed dynamic commissioning procedures for systems• Manage procurement of commissioning and start-up spares, first-fills, tools, and equipment to ensure timely site availability• Develop system vendor support plans• Oversee fabrication, mechanical completion, and commissioning activities in yard and site• Interface with discipline system owners to prioritize and ensure system completion• Ensure quality and integrity of system issues, including change management and close-out verifications• Coordinate with construction to allocate mechanical completion check sheets• Ensure adherence to commissioning procedures• Conduct system walkdowns with multidisciplinary attendance• Support preservation activities and monitor compliance• Manage vendor attendance plans for site activities Location: Yard and Site• Provide technical oversight during fabrication, mechanical completion, and commissioning• Interface with discipline system owners to prioritize system completion• Ensure quality and proper documentation of system issues• Coordinate with construction for equipment inspections• Ensure compliance with commissioning procedures• Conduct system walkdowns with relevant disciplines• Support preservation activities• Manage vendor attendance plans Profile Ideally, you will have a degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of 15 years of engineering experience, including at least 8 years on-site managing installation, pre-commissioning, changeover, and commissioning of brownfield and greenfield projects in the oil and gas industry.Offshore experience is mandatory.You should possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and be dynamic, proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented.Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French or Arabic is a plus.Working at SPIEWhat can we offer you?Competitive salary, international insurance. #J-18808-Ljbffr
