Job Summary The Powder Coat Manager is responsible for the most effective and efficient use of the powder coat line and oven, while maintaining accuracy. This position reports directly to the Production Operation Manager and is responsible for employees' workflow in Powder Coat. Supervisory Responsibilities Oversees the daily workflow of the powder coat line; schedules and organizes staff to ensure proper management. Manage, lead, and coach a team of up to 12 employees. Hires and trains new powder coat staff. Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed. Duties/Responsibilities Have complete technical knowledge of an automated coating line. Supervise up to 12 powder coat employees in daily activities. Manage quality control and quantity of output. Perform general maintenance on equipment. Ensure a safe and clean working environment. Required Skills/Abilities Basic math skills. Excellent communication skills. 3+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing setting. Forklift ability and experience. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. 3-4 years supervisory or team lead experience. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.
