NES Qatar is hiring for an Electrical Engineer Lead role with a leading oil & gas client—direct hire position.The primary responsibility of this role is to function as Discipline Lead and Technical Authority (TA2), providing technical leadership and guidance to a team of discipline engineers on the project. The Lead will manage the CONTRACTOR's work and team to ensure successful project execution, maintaining technical quality and integrity while considering safety, schedule, and cost objectives. The role includes reviewing and approving deliverables.Key Requirements: Broad experience with electrical equipment and systems, including HV/MV/LV electrical systems design, switchgear, transformers, power management systems, electrical system controls, power distribution control, and large motors.Knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes and industry codes.Experience with high voltage and large-scale onshore power design.Employment history with International Operating Companies (IOCs) and EPC Contractors.Experience in FEED and EPIC Oil & Gas projects.Proficiency with international standards and Shell DEPs related to electrical engineering.Experience managing discipline planning, resource allocation, and project execution within budgets and timelines.Strong project management skills; PMP certification is preferred.Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a focus on project execution and stakeholder management.Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Discipline Engineering.Chartered Engineer status or postgraduate qualification in a specialized engineering discipline is preferred.20 years of relevant postgraduate experience, including at least 10 years in the Oil & Gas industry with proven leadership roles over five years.Shell Technical Authority Level 2 (TA2) or equivalent, or eligibility to receive TA2 designation upon passing the interview.If you are interested or know someone who fits this profile, please send your CV toshruti.kadam@nesfircroft.com .With over 90 years of combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider across Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining, and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
