Overview The Senior Project Engineer Landscape is responsible for the technical execution and construction administration of complex landscape architecture projects. This individual will serve as the technical lead, ensuring that project designs are translated accurately into buildable, high-quality, and compliant construction documents. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in landscape construction, civil engineering principles, and project management. Responsibilities Technical Design & Engineering: Develop and prepare detailed construction documents, including grading and drainage plans, layout plans, irrigation plans, and hardscape details. Site engineering tasks: Perform earthwork calculations, cut/fill analysis, and stormwater management integration. Standards compliance: Ensure all technical designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including accessibility standards (ADA) and environmental guidelines. Project Management & Execution: Manage the technical aspects of multiple projects from conception through construction completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Scope, schedule, and budget: Assist the Project Manager in developing project scopes, schedules, and budgets. Coordination: Lead coordination with internal teams (architects, civil engineers) and external stakeholders (clients, contractors, sub-consultants). Construction Administration: Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, ensure adherence to plans and specifications, and address field issues. RFI management: Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from contractors in a timely and accurate manner. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 4+ years of progressive experience in landscape construction, site engineering, or a related field. Proven expertise in grading, drainage, and stormwater management design. Proficiency in Auto CAD Civil 3D (mandatory), with strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite. Extensive experience with construction administration processes, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
