Construction Manager Power – Doha CLIENT: Linum Consult’s client is a major international company operating within the energy sector. They are currently seeking a Construction Manager with both Engineering and Business Management skills to oversee their Power Projects in Doha. RESPONSIBILITIESExecuting and delivering the construction of power plant projects at various stages, including land acquisition, permitting, licensing, construction, testing & commissioning, and managing contractors, vendors, supply chain, and regulatory compliance. Developing and implementing monitoring methods, and compiling reports for management. Building relationships with market research firms, external consultants, auditors, and key sources of market information. Maintaining high standards of confidentiality to protect sensitive information. Coordinating with Business Development, M&A, and Asset Management teams; assisting during due diligence and bid preparations. Ensuring smooth project handover to Asset Management. Keeping the Chief Business Development Officer updated on project statuses. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSDegree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering; an additional degree in Business Administration is preferred. 15-20 years of experience in power plant development and construction, with 8-10 years in a similar managerial role. Strong understanding of technical aspects of project construction and development. Knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements for various power plant technologies, including CCGT, simple cycle, coal-fired, and peaker plants. Experience in solar or wind projects is advantageous. Excellent business acumen, analytical skills, and decision-making abilities with limited information. Fluent in spoken and written English.
