Chief Engineer - Waldorf Astoria Doha Lusail

A Chief Engineer is responsible for all maintenance issues within the hotel to ensure an excellent Guest and Member experience. This includes performing daily checks, repairing equipment, and coordinating renovation projects.What will I be doing?As a Chief Engineer, your responsibilities will include managing all maintenance issues, conducting daily checks, repairing mechanical equipment, and coordinating renovation projects. You will also develop emergency programs. Specific tasks include: Managing maintenance issues within the hotel Performing daily checks around the hotel Conducting lift emergency release procedures as required Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment Building good relationships with internal and external customers Ensuring all hotel fixtures and fittings are in safe condition and addressing unsafe situations Developing, implementing, and directing emergency programs Managing energy conservation programs to minimize expenses Coordinating renovation bidding, defining project scope and costs, and overseeing contractors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness Handling special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned Ensuring the health and safety of the hotel environment Conducting monthly safety inspections and employee training What are we looking for?The ideal Chief Engineer for Hilton brands should embody the following qualities and skills: Advanced knowledge of building management and engineering Strong commitment to customer service Flexibility to adapt to various work situations Ability to work under pressure Ability to work independently Previous management experience Additional advantageous capabilities include: First Aid certification Vocational training in engineering or a related field What is it like working for Hilton?Hilton is a leading global hospitality company with a diverse portfolio of brands.
