Operations Controller - Inventory Control

Job Purpose Plan and coordinate the efforts of the Resort and Logistics Center warehouse, receiving and inventory control departments. Maintain a materials management system and develop custom query programs, manage inventory by establishing appropriate par levels and reorder points and engaging cycle counts, develop recipes and theoretical food costs, manage warehouse space and review storage items no longer required to utilize space efficiently, and reconcile inventory balance sheet accounts.Essential Duties Daily Operations Ensure warehouse, receiving and inventory control departments operate smoothly and up to company standard.Work directly with departments to resolve any issues that relate to warehouse, receiving and inventory control.Work directly with logistic company and procurement to schedule inter-warehouses inventory in-and- out, and resolve any issues when they occur.Prepare, analyze and provide reports for management as well as daily food cost and monthly inventory reports detailing activity, discrepancies/spoilage and breakage.Company And Department Responsibilities Always maintain strict confidentiality on all matters Interact with team members, management, and contractors professionally and positively Adhere to the Company policies and procedures and comply with the Code of Conduct Always remain well-mannered and well-groomed as per department and Company standards Follow health and safety standards and avoid health and injury hazards Participate in the Company recycling program and reduce, re-use and recycle wherever possible People Management and Training Delegate specific tasks to departmental managers Maintain effective communication with all Team Members by providing written and verbal translations Promote a work environment where team members feel valued, appreciated, involved, equally important and safe Attend regular briefings and inter-departmental meetings to ensure relevant information is shared Education Secondary school diploma or above Experience Minimum 8 years’ warehouse and inventory control/logistics experience required Skills / Knowledge Proficiency in MS office and other software applications Advanced working knowledge of materials management systems required Knowledge of Birch Street preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
