Senior Design Mechanical & Plumbing Engineer Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.Description Du Poste Company Description Let's SOCOTEC your potential!Joining SOCOTEC means joining an active and ambitious community of 14,000 experts (turnover of €1.6b in 2024 compared to €510M in 2016), players in the city of tomorrow, ready to take up new challenges in Testing, Inspection, and Certification in Construction, Infrastructure, and Industry.We provide risk management and technical consulting services, supporting our clients throughout the asset cycle to ensure compliance, extend lifespan, improve environmental performance, and guarantee safety.Job Description Role Overview Provide Mechanical & Plumbing engineering services, including design and review, for building and infrastructure projects locally and internationally.Review HVAC and Plumbing designs, calculations, and reports per Abu Dhabi Municipality standards.Participate in site visits and meetings as required.Identify business opportunities and collaborate with the Commercial team to develop them.Assist in preparing fee proposals and quotations.Liaise with the Technical Manager and Accountant for reporting and invoicing.Support financial analysis related to projects in collaboration with the Technical Manager, Accountant, and Managing Director.Responsibilities Ensure delivery of high-quality work to clients.Complete services within agreed timeframes.Follow instructions accurately and exceed client expectations.Adhere to SOCOTEC policies and procedures.Maintain high qualification standards in relevant disciplines.Participate in quality assurance through reviews, supervision, and audits, providing leadership to the engineering team.Set a positive example for staff.Perform other duties as reasonably required.Maintain high standards in administrative tasks.Health & Safety Comply with quality, safety, and environmental procedures.Report incidents and hazards immediately.Promote a culture of safety and responsibility within the team.Qualifications Bachelor or Master in Mechanical Engineering.Minimum 8 years’ experience, with at least 4 years in Abu Dhabi.Knowledge of ADM codes and local regulations.Experience in international and local codes, Mechanical Design, and Design Review in construction.Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.Additional Information Competitive salary and bonuses, reviewed annually.Global collaboration opportunities.Strong team environment within a growing company.Focus on social responsibility and sustainability.Opportunities for relocation and career growth.Seniority Level Mid-Senior level Employment Type Full-time Industry Civil Engineering #J-18808-Ljbffr
