Job Title: Chemistry Teacher (Cycle 2 & 3 / ADEK Approved) Location: Al Ain UAE Job Type: Fulltime School: Reputable School in Al Ain Recruitment Company: REAP HR & CONSULTANCY Starting Date: Immediate joiner Position Overview We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Chemistry Teacher for Cycle 2 and 3 students (Grades 6-12) in a reputed school in Al Ain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching Chemistry and a passion for inspiring students in the subject. This teacher will be responsible for delivering high‑quality lessons that adhere to the American curriculum and preparing students for both theoretical and practical aspects of Chemistry. The role will involve guiding students through complex scientific concepts, fostering a curiosity for learning and helping them develop critical thinking and problem‑solving skills in the field of Chemistry. Eligibility Criteria Bachelor's degree in Education with Specialisation in Chemistry OR ADEK Teaching Diploma/Bachelor's degree Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Chemistry in the UAE (preferably within the American Curriculum) ADEK Approval (required) Key Responsibilities Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging structured lessons in Chemistry to students in Cycle 2 and 3 (Grades 6‑12) covering topics such as atomic structure, chemical reactions, periodic table, bonding and organic chemistry. Curriculum Implementation: Implement the school’s Chemistry curriculum ensuring students are exposed to both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject. Assessments and Monitoring: Regularly assess students’ understanding through assignments, quizzes, experiments and exams and provide constructive feedback to help them improve. Laboratory Management: Supervise and guide students in lab experiments ensuring safety protocols are followed and that students are able to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings. Student Support: Provide additional help and support to students who require assistance with course material either individually or in small groups. Classroom Management: Maintain an orderly, inclusive and safe classroom environment conducive to learning and scientific inquiry. Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents regarding students’ academic progress, performance and behaviour. Collaborative Work: Work with other Science teachers and school staff to ensure that students are receiving a well‑rounded education and that cross‑curricular objectives are met. Extracurricular Activities: Participate in extracurricular activities related to science such as science clubs, school events or fairs. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay up‑to‑date with the latest teaching methodologies and scientific advancements. Key Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Education or a related field (required). Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, ADEK Teaching Diploma or equivalent) (required). Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Chemistry (preferably within the UAE and the American Curriculum). Strong knowledge of Chemistry topics and the ability to communicate complex concepts in an accessible manner. Practical laboratory experience including the ability to plan and execute experiments safely. Classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively. Passion for teaching and a genuine desire to inspire students in the field of Chemistry. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching Chemistry at Cycle 2 & 3 levels (Grades 6‑12). Familiarity with American Curriculum or other international curricula (e.g. IB, GCSE). Experience with lab management and integrating hands‑on practical work into lessons. Knowledge of Ed Tech tools and how to integrate technology into teaching.
