Description
We are seeking a skilled and organized Bakery Sous Chef to support the Bakery Chef in managing daily operations. This role involves hands-on baking, team supervision, and maintaining high standards of consistency and quality in all baked products.Key Responsibilities: Assist the Bakery Chef in overseeing the production of breads, viennoiseries, and other baked items.Lead and support bakery staff to ensure smooth shift operations.Monitor baking processes including mixing, proofing, and baking.Ensure consistency in product quality, portioning, and presentation.Maintain accurate inventory and assist in ordering supplies.Enforce food safety, hygiene, and HACCP protocols.Train junior bakers and commis in techniques and workflow.Take charge in the Bakery Chef's absence and uphold all standards.Requirements: Minimum 4-5 years of bakery experience with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Bakery, Hospitality, or a related field.HACCP Certified with strong knowledge of sanitation and food safety.Skilled in various dough techniques, fermentation, and baking methods.Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Passionate about artisan baking and quality control.To view other vacancies, please check our website () and follow us on our social media accounts: Linked In, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.Disclaimer: Black Pearl will never ask for money or any charges from candidates to process or consider their applications.
