Our technology and innovation, partnerships, and networks combine to deliver a unique set of products and services that help people, businesses, and governments realize their greatest potential.Title and Summary The Vice President of Corporate Development for Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa will be based in Dubai and report to the Senior Vice President, Global Head of Corporate Development.This position is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing strategic inorganic opportunities across all European regions related to potential equity investments, acquisitions, and joint ventures. The role requires a strategic thinker able to connect with the payment and Fintech industry environment and identify opportunities across geographies and industries. The candidate should understand market and industry insights, identify competitive trends, and partnership opportunities.The role also involves fostering cross-functional coordination to support successful investment and acquisition execution, navigating Mastercard to gather key information, and promoting potential strategic investments.Key Responsibilities: Develop the EEMEA Corporate Development pipeline with regional leadership.Collaborate with division and country leadership to identify opportunities and create target investment profiles based on regional and country strategies.Generate investment rationales by assessing growth strategies for potential better execution via investments or acquisitions.Maintain active engagement with market players, PE/VC investors, investment banks for market visibility.Develop and execute target investment profiles, sourcing, and screening investment candidates.Build comprehensive business cases for investments, including strategic and financial analysis.Lead negotiations and structuring of complex transactions, including term sheets and valuation analyses.Lead or support deal execution stages, including due diligence and final approvals.Lead global initiatives beyond EEMEA as needed.Develop understanding of products, solutions, and markets to identify investment opportunities.Qualifications: Relevant industry knowledge, curiosity about market trends.Success in strategy and corporate development roles, preferably in Fintech/payments.Experience in corporate development and investment banking desirable.Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or postgraduate preferred.Experience in a global/multicultural environment.Strong relationship management, negotiation, and project management skills.Excellent communication skills, ability to handle confidential information.Experience in developing Board materials is a plus.Corporate Security Responsibility All activities involving Mastercard assets, information, and networks carry inherent risks.
