We’ve got what you’re looking for.Job Description: Junior Highway Design Engineer Dubai, UAEParsons is seeking a talented Junior Highway Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be involved in the design, production, submission, and approval of major road schemes in Dubai, UAE, and internationally.What You'll Be Doing: Apply basic engineering principles to analyses.Review technical documents independently to understand engineering principles.Prepare analytical models using moderately advanced engineering software and research their application with supervision.Follow QA/QC standards and procedures.Produce clear, well-organized design calculations.Understand the software basics required for developing designs.Utilize design automation tools like Dynamo and related software.What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree in civil or transportation engineering from a recognized institution.Minimum of 3 years' experience in highway design with thorough knowledge of highway design software.Ability to read design plans for various typologies, including expressways, highways, arterial roads, local roads, and subdivisions, understanding their differences.Knowledge of multi-level interchanges and at-grade junctions (signalized, roundabouts, priority junctions).Proficiency in detailing practices related to horizontal alignments and vertical profiles.Understanding of basic pavement design, based on input from pavement specialists.Experience in designing on/off street parking and temporary traffic management plans.Ability to develop basic detailing sketches for design plans under supervision.Ability to select applicable standard specifications.Working knowledge of Auto Desk Civil 3D and Auto CAD related to highway design.What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Familiarity with Bentley Microstation is beneficial.Skills in programming such as Auto CAD scripts, Dynamo, LISP creation.Parsons values diversity and inclusivity at all job levels, regardless of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability, or genetic information.We invest in our employees' wellbeing and offer endless growth opportunities.
