Description

The Land Surveyor Marine performs all duties associated with surveying, which may include the direction and preparation of boundary surveys, easements, and descriptions. Job Duties Having good experience in marine works supervision. Performing record research, construction stakeout, boundary, topographic, transportation, and utility surveys utilizing total stations and data collectors. Reviewing information from survey teams regarding measurement of distances, directions, angles between points, and elevation of points, lines, and contours on and below the earth's surface. Planning fieldwork and selecting known survey reference points. Determining the precise location of important features in the survey area. Researching legal records, looking for evidence of previous boundaries, and analyzing data to determine boundary line locations. Recording survey results and verifying data accuracy. Preparing plots, maps, reports, and metes and bounds descriptions. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a relevant Engineering field (e.g., Civil, Geodetic, or related). Experience Minimum 7 years of experience in land surveying and setting out works of similar nature for Civil Engineering graduates. Minimum 10 years of experience in land surveying for Diploma holders in similar works.
