Resident Engineer - Construction Supervision

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.The Resident Engineer (RE) will lead the site team and be responsible for managing the scope of services to ensure that site activities are executed and implemented in accordance with the Construction Documents and specifications. The RE will liaise with all relevant authorities and clients regarding site-related requirements.Responsibilities: Supervise quality assurance inspection staff and subconsultants to verify that work complies with plans and specifications.Monitor and assume responsibility for the safety of AECOM staff and contractors.Coordinate and communicate with client authorities and contractor personnel.Process daily project documentation and construction observations.Prepare, issue, and track the contractors' non-conformance reports.Review inspectors' and subconsultants' daily work reports.Prepare correspondence to the contractor and client.Expedite delays in approval of permits and other approvals.Lead weekly progress meetings with the client, contractor, and other team members.Maintain project documents in accordance with company and client requirements.Negotiate change orders with the contractor on behalf of the client.Make recommendations to the client for change order acceptance.Review and approve contractors' monthly invoice submissions, including work completed and associated value.Prepare and review monthly project status updates.Perform other duties as required and assigned by the project lead.Supervise and train the Assistant Resident Engineer.Liaise with the head office for resource planning throughout the project.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Minimum 15 years of experience in construction supervision, preferably on large-scale projects.Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.Extensive knowledge of construction techniques, building codes, and industry standards.Proficiency in project management and quality control methodologies.Additional Information: About AECOMAECOM offers comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees, including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, disability benefits, paid time off, leaves of absence, voluntary benefits, perks, flexible work options, wellbeing resources, employee assistance programs, business travel insurance, service recognition awards, retirement savings plans, and employee stock purchase plans.AECOM is a global infrastructure leader committed to delivering a better world.
