Driving Talent Acquisition for Mission Critical, Transport & Utilities Projects Opportunity for Australian expats to come back home!Opportunity to move to Australia with Visa Sponsorship and relocation support to Brisbane.UGL is an employer with a difference, jump on board and experience our incredible journey About The Role The role of the Senior Engineering Manager – Rail Systems is to be responsible for the design management and production of design deliverables/packages under the guidance of Senior Design Management personnel.Key Responsibilities Provide inputs for project program, Quality Plan, Project Document Management Plan (PDMP), and Design Management documentation.Coordinate and resolve high-level inter-disciplinary engineering issues to maintain the best approach for the project.Review technical recommendations for subcontractor/supplier selection.Monitor and control design costs within budget, liaising with management on changes.Ensure reviews, verifications, and validations are planned and conducted with appropriate governance.Facilitate project Design Reviews, Safety in Design Reviews, and Risk Reviews as per project requirements.Qualifications and Experience Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.Minimum 15 years of engineering experience; 10 years in Rail Projects.QR Competencies and RPEQ Status preferred.Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.About UGLWe contribute to Australia's infrastructure through transport manufacturing, maintenance, operations, and support the energy sector with renewables, power, resources, and transmission projects.
