We are searching for a motivated Accounts Payable Assistant who is an excellent multi-tasker with exceptional communication and time management skills. A accounts payable assistant can expect to work closely with and assist the financial accountant with data entry, processing, and recording transactions and, updating the ledger, assisting with audits or fact-checking, and most importantly, preparing cheques. You should be thorough, accurate, and honest with good bookkeeping.
Job Responsibilities
Encode data for payable invoices
Maintain proper coordination and communication with vendors regarding follow-up of invoices
Responsible with vendor reconciliation
Follow-up of local purchase orders (LPO) with the procurement team
Data entry of petty cash replenishment in proper heads
Prepare cheques
Maintain a record/Update schedule of vendor payments. Send emails to vendors for payment collection.
Assist with day-to-day operations of the financial accountant
Can do any extra task assigned by the management
Job Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk
Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
Familiarity with finance regulations
Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
Has a keen eye in observing errors, especially in cheque preparation
Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software
Organization skills
Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
