Our client, a leader in the offshore support vessel industry in Asia, is looking for an experienced Technical Superintendent to maintain their fleet of modern vessels. In this role, you will work with both the ship's crew as well as the technical manager. My client have a range of different OSVs under their fleet, like PSV, AHTS, DSV and seismic survey vessel. The role will be in charge of vessel operational expenses covering repairs, maintenance and other survey/ certification requirements. He will be in charge in ensuring the vessel under his care to be fully fit and seaworthy to trade as required. He have the responsibility of monitoring and managing the vessel Planned Maintenance follow up accordingly in liaison with Chief Engineers and Chief Officers The person coming into the role must have sailing experience with minimum class 1 CoC and have attained Chief Engineer position. He must be comfortable making decisions and working for the interest of the company/owner. Dry Docking experience for offshore support vessels will be an added advantage. The person must also have experience and knowledge in working with DP vessels, ideally with a DP Maintenance certification.
