Apt Resources is seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Construction & Business Development for the power sector . This pivotal role combines leadership in construction management with proactive business development efforts, aiming to enhance project delivery and expand market presence. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of power projects while identifying new business opportunities to drive growth.Key Responsibilities : Set and execute strategic goals aligned with the company's growth objectives.Lead and manage high-value power sector construction projects from concept to completion.Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery and integration.Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive activity to inform strategy.Requirements QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS : Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or similar discipline from a reputable university. Holding an MBA is optional Minimum Experience : 10 years of experience in similar roles in large companies, of which at least 4 years are in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities, demonstrating a strong need for effective leadership skills.Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical) : Demonstrated problem-solving ability and analytical thinking skills.Good understanding of power / energy and water sectors, emerging trends, technologies and key players.Proficiency in English (must) and Arabic (plus).Excellent relationship-building skills.Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills.Ability to work with key stakeholders, senior executives, management team and external partners / advisors through collaboration & teamwork.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Good understanding of Qatar and GCC culture and working environmentto be discussed
