Software Engineer (Python)

With a collective of 8 brands and over 160 million monthly users, we are committed to providing an excellent platform for our users.At dubizzle, you'll be part of high-performing cross-functional "Squads" focused on creating win-win exchanges for our users.Responsibilities: Build and maintain robust APIs, from the underlying services to the code that perfects them.Ensure all services are healthy, monitored, automated, and scalable.Collaborate with other teams from design to resolving production issues.Support a range of products focusing on automation, availability, performance, and reliability, including supporting mobile engineers and business intelligence teams during each sprint.Contribute to building an industry-leading platform with a focus on innovation.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.3+ years of experience in analysis, design, coding, and implementation of web applications using Python and Django.1+ years of experience with API-based architectures (e.g., SOA).Experience working on high-traffic, large-scale web products.Knowledge of web infrastructure, distributed systems, performance analysis, and search infrastructure.Experience with the full development cycle.Proficiency in Django and Python, including meta-classes, decorators, descriptors, list comprehensions, and multiple inheritance/mixins.Understanding of database technologies such as My SQL, Postgre SQL, and No SQL databases.Familiarity with Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.Skills and Attributes: Ability to handle the entire software development lifecycle.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Driven to learn new and existing technologies.Detail-oriented with strong analytical and conceptual thinking.Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt quickly to changing environments.Benefits: Fast-paced, high-performing team environment.Multicultural environment with over 60 nationalities.Competitive tax-free salary.Comprehensive health insurance.Annual air ticket allowance.Employee discounts across multiple vendors in the emirates.Rewards and recognition programs.Learning and development opportunities.Bayut & dubizzle are equal opportunity employers.
