Description
We are seeking an experienced Controlling Officer for Volkswagen Group Middle East in our Doha, Qatar office. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and controlling targets and budgets of the VWGME & VWGSME Group Back Office Functions to achieve financial goals. You will oversee controlling areas such as CEO Office, HR, GFA & IT for both VWGSME and VWGME offices, as well as Mobility operations. Additionally, you will coordinate all financial transactions at VWGME. Main Responsibilities : Design, implement, and execute controls and procedures to ensure consistent business development in controlling functions, fostering discipline and accountability in resource use. Provide regular financial reporting and consultation to Responsible Managers, offering fact-based recommendations on operational and strategic plans. Manage special projects for the CFO. Develop and deliver the Group's Planning Round (PR), Budget, and monthly forecasts. Align personnel and structural costs within the framework of the PR, Budget, and forecasts. Track cost and margin development in line with SLAs with Group Brands and Companies. Analyze and report variances between actual and forecasted financials for management review. Monitor cost center performance, communicating actions to budget custodians and the Finance Director to minimize risks of budget overruns. Support tactical claim tracking from a controlling perspective across all brands. Define and coordinate invoicing processes to VWGME customers. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial analyses, variances, and forecasts for P&L statements. Provide key financial figures for management presentations, reviews, and Board meetings. Collaborate closely with department heads. Perform standard and ad hoc financial analyses to support the Group Finance Director, including special projects. Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures in daily operations. Evaluate and implement new procedures, ensuring compliance with established policies. Coordinate with internal and external audits. Record risks for GFA. Operate, update, and implement financial systems such as Nadin, IT, ISAC, FICO, KSRM, i Serve, and Modulus. Calculate profitability of mobility vehicles and advise on bracket allocation. Provide financial inputs to the Mobility Steering Committee. Allocate costs to each cost center and ensure timely dealer payments. Support the Tax Function in developing tax compliance systems and controls. Consider tax implications in financial planning and product pricing. Assist during tax audits and stay updated on regional tax developments. Key Competencies & Qualifications : Master of Science in Business Management or equivalent, with 3+ years of relevant finance experience. Up to 5 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting. Knowledge of management accounting methods and tools. Proficiency in office applications. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills; performance-driven and innovative. Leadership ability to guide, motivate, and develop teams.
