Responsibilities Maintain aspirational hospitality and fresh counter standards throughout the trading day for customers and colleagues. Use the Ready to Trade Checklist and product specification checklist to maintain opening standards. Ensure products are displayed according to visual display standards for opening and maintain at all times. Implement principles of “Clean As You Go” for kit, counters and seating areas. Log equipment failures in line with the provided checklist. Prepare products for customers focusing on presentation, quality and efficiency as per SOP. Maintain a high level of personal and food hygiene at all times. Aware of sales targets and use this information to drive additional sales. Share knowledge with customers about products, including location, newness, nutritional content, size, differences vs competitors, and price range. Promote deals and offers, upsell and suggest perfect partner products. Drive Units Per Transactions by ensuring correct products are in the right place and replenished. Assist customers to shop via different options (e.g., Cake orders, Take away service, Menu orders, Call & Collect during Ramadan). Provide targeted product tastings to educate customers and increase product awareness and sales where applicable. Understand the point of difference between M&S products and similar products from other retailers and use selling skills to drive sales. Replenish products throughout the trading day and check stock reports for new and replenished lines. Maintain stock system integrity, including recording waste and tasting quality and submitting checklists to the admin team. Support stock accuracy through stock counts and bi-weekly stock takes. Maintain a safe and legal working environment for customers and colleagues, including DEF processes, temperature controls, and compliance with ticketing and decor policies. Operate equipment in line with health and safety principles and training; maintain store equipment and be aware of potential hazards and take appropriate action. Required Skills Friendly and engaging personality; comfortable interacting with the general public; confident, helpful and polite; able to work as part of a team. Good verbal communication skills. F&B hygiene knowledge and certification. Ability to perform some heavy lifting. Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours. What equips you for the role High school education; bachelor preferred. 4-5 years’ experience in F&B (Food and Beverage). Proven ability to achieve goals.
