Database Administrator

Installation, configuration and upgrading of MYSQL/SQL server software and related products.- Evaluate MYSQL/SQL features and MYSQL/SQL MCY products.- Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures.- Conduct database design and implementation.- Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).- Perform database/application tuning and performance monitoring.- Create and maintain documentation and standards.- Plan growth and changes (capacity planning).- Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required.- Perform general technical troubleshooting and provide consultation to development teams.- Interface with MYSQL/SQL Corporation for technical support.- Patch Management and Version Control.- Generation of daily/monthly reports.Required Skills and Qualifications- High understanding of the MYSQL/SQL database, related utilities, and tools.- Good understanding of the underlying operating system.- High knowledge of physical database design.- My SQL/SQL certified professional.- Ability to perform both MYSQL/SQL and operating system performance tuning and monitoring.- Knowledge of ALL MYSQL/SQL backup and recovery scenarios.- Good knowledge of MYSQL/SQL security management.- Good knowledge of how MYSQL/SQL acquires and manages resources.- Good knowledge of MYSQL/SQL data integrity.- Sound knowledge of the implemented application systems.- Experience in code migration, database change management, and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle.- A sound knowledge of both database and system performance tuning.- A DBA should have sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors, and systems administrators.- Provide a strategic database direction for MCY.- A DBA should have the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.- A DBA should possess a sound understanding of the business. #J-18808-Ljbffr
