Parsons Brinckerhoff has been appointed the program management consultant for the construction of more than 200 local roads and drainage projects in Qatar. The Local Roads & Drainage Program (LR&DP) is part of a strategy to develop roads, drainage, and infrastructure networks throughout the country.
As we are now starting the construction phase we are looking for an experienced QC Engineer (with strong background in roads and drainage projects) to monitor and evaluate all site based quality inspections.
Responsibilities will include the following:
To ensure that work inspections are coordinated and carried out to specified requirements
Act independently to ensure that the quality objectives are adhered to
Prepare inspection checklists
To put in place inspection procedures in coordination with the construction team
Obtaining relevant approvals
Update relevant contractor/consultant accordingly in regards to approvals
Implement Quality Management Systems
Job Requirements
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree of Engineering is a must along with minimum 10 years experience working within a QC role
• Roads and Drainage experience preferred
• Experience of dealing with local and international contractors/consultants
• Ability to be able to prepare Quality, Inspection Plans for construction activities
• Knowledge of ISO 9001
• Previous Middle East experience is preferred
