Leading the delivery (time, cost, quality) of the CCIA package
Managing the reviews by the engineering design consultant of contractors’ shop drawings, material approval requests and equipment proposals.
Supervising and managing the contractors to ensure the works are constructed as per specification and to established milestone dates.
Managing and directing the supervision team to undertake day to day inspections of the works.
Maintaining a very high level of safety awareness and ensuring the contractor comply with obligations.
Working closely with Contracts Manager to review the FIDIC (The International Federation of Consulting Engineers) based contracts.
Removing bottlenecks to delivery on behalf of the contractor.
Facilitating coordination between the consortium of Contractors at points of interface.
Resolving site issues.
Presenting progress and package issues to the Client.
Negotiating changes to the scope of work with the Client and key Subcontractors.
Following up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.
Establishing the Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Control Plan and other related documents.
Establishing the program requirements for all areas of the project and monitoring site staff performance.
Assigning responsibility to key team members in their respective fields of expertise.
Providing input to performance reviews and development plans for colleagues.
Working with other managers, Project Engineers and discipline heads to develop budgets, scheduling and planning for the various elements of the project.
Monitoring and reporting to management on the progress of all project activities within the program, including significant milestones and any conditions, which would affect project cost, schedule, performance or Client relationship.
Establishing internal weekly meetings to review project status and formulate action items.
Specific Skills required:
Thorough understanding of Construction methods, sequence and related contractual matters.
The successful candidate will need to have a high level of critical thinking ability as well as advanced English communication and presentation skills.
