This role is central to transforming design concepts into production-ready documentation across luxury retail interiors, bespoke fixtures, and branded environments. The ideal candidate is experienced in interior fit-out, joinery detailing, and cross-disciplinary coordination within high-end or hospitality sectors in the GCC.Key Responsibilities1. Technical Drafting & Detailing Produce fully dimensioned GA plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), joinery details, and millwork/shop drawings.Generate exploded views, assembly diagrams, material cut-lists, and CNC/DXF files for bespoke fixtures including displays, kiosks, and event structures.2. Material & Specification Coordination Compile comprehensive finish schedules, ironmongery lists, and FF&E specifications in line with MBHG’s standards.Coordinate with procurement on material availability, lead times, and substitution options.3. Site Survey & As-Built Documentation Conduct on-site measurements and produce accurate as-built documentation.Update drawings regularly throughout construction to reflect real-world conditions.4. Cross-Disciplinary Coordination Integrate lighting, MEP, and structural inputs into coordinated drawing sets; proactively identify clashes.Participate in design reviews, site meetings, and value-engineering discussions with consultants and contractors.5. Quality & Compliance Ensure all drawings meet UAE building codes, relevant mall guidelines, and MBHG's internal QA/QC standards.Assist with on-site inspections and snagging to confirm alignment with approved plans.Qualifications & Experience Education: Diploma or Bachelor's in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.Experience: 4+ years in interior fit-out or retail design, ideally in the luxury or hospitality sector within the GCC.Software Skills: Auto CAD (mandatory) – expert-level proficiency in 2D drafting.Adobe Acrobat, In Design or Illustrator – for markup and document formatting.Familiarity with Revit/Navisworks for BIM file coordination is a plus.Technical Knowledge: Expertise in joinery, metal/glass detailing, lighting integration, CNC/millwork production, andbasic MEP coordination.Languages: Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.Core Competencies Precision & Thoroughness: Meticulous approach with zero tolerance for dimensional errors.Speed & Agility: Able to deliver accurate work under tight deadlines.Problem-Solving: Foresees and addresses technical issues proactively.Collaboration: Works effectively with multidisciplinary teams including designers, engineers, and site teams.Brand Sensitivity: Deep understanding of luxury materials and design aesthetics.Experience in preparing BOQs and cost estimates.Familiarity with UAE mall approval processes (Emaar, Majid Al Futtaim, Aldar, etc.).Understanding of green building standards (LEED, Estidama).Seniority level Seniority level Associate Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Design Industries Retail, Construction, and Interior Design Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Mohamed Hilal Group by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for “Technical Drafter” roles.We’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
