Job details
Ensures Halul Fire Training Ground in order to provide training services for firefighters, and other operational staff, pertaining to procedures for attending Emergency Firefighting, Search & Rescue and Salvage operations. Responsible for identifying and maintains the operational requirements of Halul Fire Training Ground in order to deliver the operational training services at all times and to the standards required by Qatar Petroleum. Responsible for day-to-day running of Halul Fire Training Ground, Fire Training Ground staff and resources. Responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and reviewing all training requirements, routine maintenance of vehicles and equipment assigned to the Fire Training Ground, ensuring these are carried out as per policies, procedures and standing instructions. Education:
HND in engineering discipline or equivalent education with relevant experience. Successfully completed a recognized International Access and Command course. Diploma in firefighting (Team Leader). Passed Fire Instructor, General Instructor, Methods of Instruction or equivalent. Minimum pass of English level 5 proficiency including advanced communication or equivalent. Passed Fire Investigation course. Passed Crew Command course. Passed advanced firefighting course. Experience & Skills:
Minimum of 8 years experience as a Firefighter with minimum of 3-5 years in Oil & Gas environment as fire and rescue technique instructor. Good negotiation skills. Good computer knowledge and skills. Good leadership, command and control skills. Good problem solving and motivational skills. Good presentation skills. Ability to write specifications and prepare mandate reports. Ability to communicate well orally and in writing. Ability to work effectively with various personnel and in teams, and be flexible in work assignments. Ability for improving bad working habits, employee performance, maintaining improved performance, utilizing effective follow up actions to solve employee or work related problems.
