Lead Contracts Engineer with major operator in Qatar

Responsibilities:
" Provides all necessary support, information and assistance to the project Teams concerning all contractual issues which occurred or may occur in order to manage the development and execution of the projects.
" Puts in place all relevant actions and mitigation measures required to protect the company, partners and it’s shareholders as far as it is possible.
" Communicate and liaise directly with the other Team members within the department particularly with Project control and cost Control & reporting Team on work related issues.
" Prepares the contractual correspondence to be sent to contractor including variations, claims and the like.
" Receive, analyze and prepare responses to contractual correspondence received from Contractor
" Ensure timely submission and adjustment by Contractor of Performance Bank Guarantees, Advance Payment Bank Guarantees, Insurance Certificates, Waiver of Recourse for Contractor and subcontractors, and other certificates as applicable.
" Prepares the certificates to be issued by Company, as provided for in the Contract for signature by the parties
" Participates in monthly meetings and variation order meetings and upon request from Projects Managers in adhoc meetings with the Contractor
" Manage claims and change process on the project including preparation, negotiation and settlement.
" Prepare VO/amendment requiring modifications to the AGREEMENT, and/or their annexes.
Preparation, Management and Administration of other contracts:
" Prepares contracts related to work on site (other than services Contracts for assignment of company supervisory personnel) as requested by the Projects Managers.
" Follows up Contracts circulation and signature according to the Contract Preparation procedure.
" Administrates and modifies these Contracts as required by the Project Manager.
" Administers the agreement in place with the JV Partners.


Education:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering

Experience:
Minimum 8 years overall experience of mainly in Oil & Gas sector.
3 years experience to have been in supervisory role.
