The primary purpose of the job is to arrange and provide facilities, services and materials in support of oil spill incident response. identify and arrange stockpiling of equipment, materials and chemicals required for planned oil spill incident scenarios, establish field control points and ensure the field control points are provided with adequate resources, communication system, procedures, standing instructions, etc. and to ensure the status of readiness for responding to any potential oil spill incident Education:
BSc degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or equivalent Post graduate qualification in engineering, or marine or environment management. Excellent written & spoken English. Excellent technical writing ability. Experience & Skills:
20+ years post graduate experience in oil spill response management with 5 - 7 years in supervisory position At least 7 years work experience in an international oil spill response organization High technical skills and knowledge in oil spill equipment, materials, chemicals, logistics and other resources required for oil spill containment, recovery disposal etc is essential for this position. Microsoft window applications. Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage High proficiency in the use of appropriate PC software packages Strong communication & Management skills Good knowledge of contracts preparation and management Good ability to arbitrate, resolve conflicts and provide alternative solutions Good ability to analyze costs and benefits of new developments relevant to oil spill equipment and materials Good knowledge of Corporate policies, procedures and management systems Please note that only those applicants selected for interviews will be contacted.
