Undertakes Non-destructive testing on pressure containing plant equipment, pipeline and welded construction using special equipment and techniques to ensure structural integrity and plant safety. Carries out Ultrasonic examinations within the fields area. Carries out Industrial Radiography using Ir-192 radioactive source through the approved Contractor. Process radiographs, interprets them and submits concise reports. Prepares inspection reports outlining specific recommendations and liaises with maintenance planning engineers and field supervisors regarding their implementations. Assists Welding Inspector in other day-today activities and acts as a relief, during periods of his absence. Carries out technical evaluation for new projects & contracts. Confirms Man Hours in SAP system. Reviews & revises DCT as required. Prepare Release Order & Service Entry Sheets for Contractors monthly work payment. Education:
B. Sc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Formal training in all NDT methods leading to ASNT/CSWIP/PCN Level 2 Certification or equivalent. Experience & Skills:
A minimum 12 years experience in NDT of pressure containing plant preferably in the refinery, chemical or oil & gas processing plants Thorough knowledge of International Codes and Standards related to fabrication and inspection of pressure vessels, piping, heat exchangers, storage tanks, etc Good knowledge of welding techniques, procedures and welding examination Good written and spoken English.
