Description and Desired Qualifications

CH2M HILL Senior Reporting Specialist - Doha, Qatar

Program Description:

Qatar will be hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup™ football and become the first Middle East nation in history to stage this event. The associated construction programme will be part of a major country regeneration programme including the development of required infrastructure and non-competitive venues.

CH2M Hill is the programme management contractor (PMC) responsible for the management of competition precincts, training venues, associated common domain precincts, Operations, Post Games Works and the coordination of the regeneration programme integration works, acting on behalf of the client Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee.

Scope:
Responsible for assisting the PMC Reports Manager to produce Programme reporting deliverables, reporting content and analysis Serve as the Programme Controls Reporting interface with Project Planners, Commercial personnel and Management personnel Work with the Programme Controls Reporting Team and Project Teams to produce key reporting deliverables to time and quality Ensure that project information is distilled into meaningful information for reporting and presentation purposes Analyse project data and provide detailed cost and schedule variance analysis information Ensure project schedules, milestones, risks and budgets are maintained and updated monthly Facilitate and support the monthly internal management and project review meetings Assist Project Teams with the preparation of change control documentation Perform Project Controls surveillances on individual Projects to ensure adherence to requirements
Transferable Competencies:
Well organised and proactive with excellent communication skills An ability to achieve business results working in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment Keen with details and able to produce high quality deliverables Able to meet deadlines Must be a cautious and prudent guardian of confidential information Maturity of judgment under pressure and ability to resolve problems without delay Must be fluent in the use of computer software Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, with skills in Macros, lookups & coding a plus. Knowledge & experience in the use of Primavera scheduling, Earned Value (COBRA) software is a plus Flexibility to travel internationally and live in Doha, Qatar

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist and report to the Programme Controls Reporting Manager Co-ordinate the input and production of key monthly Programme and Project reports Coordinate with project teams & external stakeholders to produce and analyse monthly Project Reports Notify Project & Stakeholders of reporting requirements and timelines and ensure reporting deadlines are met Quality assure all key reports to ensure a consistent & high standard of Project & Programme reporting Works with database and reporting specialists to ensure quality and efficiency of Programme reporting Contribute to establishing a Culture of Safety and meeting the strategic objective to implement “safety, security, environmental protection and safeguards that are as high as reasonably achievable"
Basic Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience
Preferred Chartered Status or Memberships of Professional Associations Proven ability to effectively co-ordinate activities within and across large organisations At least 5-7 years Experience in Programme/Project Controls Experience and proven track record in Project Controls is essential; formal qualifications can be varied Thorough knowledge of project controls functions, specifically in the area of baseline development, earned value and scheduling Costs: knowledge of cost systems, earned value, data analysis and interpretation, and report preparation Scheduling: knowledge of the principles and practice of critical path plans Change: reconciliation of baseline changes and funds management Reports: expertise in manipulating departmental output into meaningful, useful and attractive reports for internal and external customers A Degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related discipline preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work closely with peers, senior managers and external stakeholders Hands on experience in production of high quality reporting documents Technical writing experience a plus
