The IT Engagement Specialist assists in the development and planning of the relational mechanisms between the business and Corporate ICT Department by establishing, in business terms, shared expectations between the business units and the Corporate ICT Department; a set of well-planned process improvement and business/ICT culture change programmes; and improvement in the ICT effectiveness of the Corporation in order to systematically address and remove strategic alignment obstacles and to maximize the business value from ICT. Education:
Bachelors or Masters level degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or an appropriate Engineering/Business field Appropriate Professional Certifications and/or appropriate ICT experience in the Oil and Gas Sector are desirable Experience & Skills:
A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in an enterprise ICT environment, with at least 2 years of demonstrated Corporate Engagement An understanding of Capability Maturity Modeling and how this relates to Strategic Alignment Maturity Modeling against the rest of the Corporation Demonstrates a commitment to quality and continuous improvement Uses mature judgment in planning and performing assignments and achieving defined objectives Excellent problem solving, persuasion, negotiation, and decision making skills Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with a multi-cultural and multi-national workforce Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate concepts as appropriate to customers, contractors, and staff. Needs a high level of diplomacy to balance user requirements against the needs of ICT to propose secure and reliable solutions within the broader Corporate ICT framework A high level of understanding of the barriers between people and ICT, and the approaches to break down these barriers A high level of awareness of technological developments/trends in the marketplace that may significantly change and/or enhance QP's use of ICT Please note that only those applicants selected for interviews will be contacted.
