AECOM are currently seeking an experienced Technical MEP Manager for a project based in Qatar. The successful applicant will work with the design consultant team on the mechanical, electrical and piping design of the project. Ideally candidates will have experience in MEP Design in either Commercial, Residential or Retail developments. A Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required. Experience in the use of AutoCAD or Building Information Modelling (BIM) is essential.
Duties
Completing a variety of assignments such as design reviews, drawings reviews, specifications and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes Extracting engineering information from Design Drawings Preparing detailed reviews of designs in close consultation with the Design Consultants. Reviewing supplier, shop drawing submittals and performs technical bid analysis . Providing technical guidance to Designers and regular reporting to the Design Director and Project Director. Ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, ordinances and design brief from the Client is complied with. Updating the internal design & procurement programme if required. Submit proposals to optimise the construction process in terms of the programme Reviewing monthly reports submitted to Client by each Discipline and ensure that they are submitted to the Client Monitoring and design procurement processes with regards to the construction programme. Review the procurement schedule and support update if required. Establishing a system to monitor the construction progress and to track disturbances and delays if required on any of the projects allocated to the PM. Managing, correlate and respond to any claims submitted by the contractors Ensuring close out of all projects and complete lessons Learnt with Client & Design Team .
