Within this role, the candidate will be expected to:
Undertake technical design work and design checking for projects, in accordance with the Company System, as appropriate to the organisation of each particular project, so as to meet or exceed project specific time and quality targetsProvide direction, supervision and mentoring to more junior staff, Assist with formal performance and development reviews for more junior staff, Assist in the recruitment of staff.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Preparation of design drawings, calculations, scheme evaluations and design reports;Supervision and assessment graduate engineers and CAD; Professional development of graduate engineers and CAD;Coordination with associated disciplines to ensure that interfaces have been considered and accounted for;Assistance in striving continuous technical improvement of the design team;Maintenance of a solid knowledge of industry standards and design codes.
Personal Specification
Education/ Minimum Qualifications
The Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's /College Degree in Civil Engineering, Postgraduate Diploma/ Master's degree and Professional License (passed Board/ Bar/ Professional License Exam); The position is open for engineer level (10 years and above) A reasonable knowledge of and ability to design storm & foul water drainage networks is preferred; A proficiency in associated modern road/ land development design software is essential; Civil 3D, MX and/ or 12D; A working knowledge of utility design software is preferred; e.g. StormCAD, SewerCAD, WinDES/Microdrainage, Tuflow and/ or DRAINS;
Candidate Profile
Maintains a proactive approach to assisting/ guiding team members; Displays an ability to work independently or with minimum supervision; Fluent in written and spoken English; Possesses strong written interpersonal skills; Ability in Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel is preferred.
