Parsons Brinckerhoff has been appointed the program management consultant for the construction of more than 200 local roads and drainage projects in Qatar. The project is part of a strategy to develop roads, drainage and infrastructure networks throughout the country.

Due to this we are currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior Environmental Specialist to join our team in Doha.

Responsibilities:


Provide effective leadership and advice in Environmental Management discipline Plan, organise and manage successful completion of the environmental responsibilities as required by the project scope of services Ensure that the environmental requirements of local legislation and international best practice standards are complied with Achieve required Government approvals of the environmental documents Manage environmental teams and resources to achieve objectives Raise situational awareness of stakeholders as an integral part of sound Environmental Management Provide Environmental performance measurement criteria


Job Requirements


Very experienced and senior environmental specialist (minimum 15 + years experience); much of this in a large organization on major infrastructure project.
Strategic Minded person.
Broad experience in Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Policy Development, Sustainability
Good understanding of corporate governance
Good understanding of Environmental Management
Excellent communicator, networker and team player although able to think and work well independently.
Experience in Middle East preferred
